These photographs are from our time living in the Long Island Sound coastal town of Branford CT. We were located in Short Beach a short walk from Lamphiers Cove where these images were recorded. It was late in the afternoon one stormy summer day when something in the atmosphere alerted me to the possibility of photographing the rapidly changing sky. Taking up my camera I journeyed down to the nearby cove and as I approached the water a beautiful double rainbow appeared becoming more and more beautiful and radiant over the course of about 20 minutes. I have seen many rainbows in my lifetime however none more beautiful than this one and certainly not one that remained visible for that length of time.
